For All Saints Day I can thoroughly recommend this excellent article on what makes a saint. It examines the way we might relate to those "great clouds of witnesses" that have gone before us and the two extremes to avoid.

It is titled " Patrons and Companions"  from Fr. James Martin S.J. in America magazine.

It also packs a punch for a refreshing and humorous take on how to stand up to the hierarchy and others who might disagree !!
