Solemnity of The Most Sacred Heart Of Jesus 2013 and World Priest Day

Scripture readings for today's Mass are here

This is a short, reflective video that explores the meaning of the Feast of the Sacred Heart. God is in our darkest, most lost corners and that is where we will be found.

Website for World Priest Day is here.

Previous post on the feast of the Sacred Heart is here.

Taize chant ( Portuguese)

Deus é amor,
arrisquemos viver por amor.
Deus é amor,
ele afasta o medo

 Rough Translation

God is love,
Risking life for love.
God is love,

Casting out fear

These simple words of the Taize hymn sum up for me the heart of God, the heart of priesthood and the heart of all of us when we can let go and let God live in us.

and these wonderful words of St Paul at the end of one of the most beautiful chapters of the New Testament concludes:
..." Who will separate us from the love of Christ?
Will hardship or distress or persecution, or nakedness, or peril or the sword?
....No, in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. "(Rom 8:35—39)
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.
