Now the birthday celebrations are over I can resume thoughts on Martha and Mary from this Sunday's Gospel.

Have a look at Fr. Austin's post at A Concord Pastor Comments today where he has found this great painting by Maud Sumner of the two sisters that captures and contrasts perfectly the difference between the contemplative Mary and the duty worn anxious older sister Martha.
