19th Sunday Ordinary Time Mass and Reflections Walking On Water

Scripture readings for this Sunday's Mass are here and there are several reflections on the readings here.

  • My earlier reflection on Jesus and Peter walking on water is here
  • This link takes you to an mp3 recording by Fr. Robert Barron on this Sunday's theme

This is the summary on the first reading from his site :

"Elijah is a contemplative who has the eyes to see and the ears to listen.
God does not appear in the glory of the world. Rather, he appears in a silent way.
Weed out of your heart all of those fears and desires that prevent you from discerning the silent presence of God."
