All Saints Day November 1st 2011

For All Saints Day I can thoroughly recommend this excellent article on what makes a saint. It examines the way we might relate to those "great clouds of witnesses" that have gone before us and the two extremes to avoid.

It is titled " Patrons and Companions"  from Fr. James Martin S.J. in America magazine.

It also packs a punch for a refreshing and humorous take on how to stand up to the hierarchy and others who might disagree !!

My reflection on All Saints Day for last year can be found here

and this is my post  for this year's trilogy of Halloween, All Saints and All Souls
