Still Learning

A short prayer of thanks.

Do not forget that the value and interest
of life is not so much to do conspicuous things...as to do ordinary things with the
perception of their enormous value.

-Teilhard de Chardin

“I am still learning.” The Renaissance master Michelangelo is said to have often repeated this phrase. It speaks volumes about his humility and his brilliance.

To be learning is to acknowledge that one does not already know it all. It is to go through life with eyes wide open and to enthusiastically seek new discoveries.

The New Year is a good time to renew my motivation to be always "still learning."
To take on the unfamiliar, to  make mistakes, set the ego aside.
