The panel was designed and installed by the Benedictine monks who built the abbey.

Finally I get the chance to hear Fr. Ron Rolheiser speak ! I've sent my form off today.

At last there is something within reasonable travelling distance of Cornwall for me to attend and the cost is not exorbitant.

 It's great to see this sort of event happen in my Plymouth Diocese.

A Festival of Theology at Buckfast Abbey
 July 14-17th 2012

The purpose of this event is fourfold;
  •  to encourage a response to the Papal call for a Year of Faith,
  • to recognise the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Vatican Council,
  •   to draw into closer association of the mission of the Diocese with the Benedictine Community at Buckfast Abbey,
  •  to provide an exciting opportunity to rekindle interest in theological enquiry, spurred on by a wide variety of international, national and local speakers.

The event does not have a particular theme, but aims to draw attention to the breadth and depth of theological endeavour within the Catholic Tradition.

Full details and ticketing information can be found on the Festival website: www.clearvoices.co.uk
