Prayer - A Gift of Presence

A priest had been visiting an old man who was dying and in the course of his visits they talked of many things, including how to pray.

The priest recommended the man just to talk to Jesus as he would to a friend sitting at this bedside.

A few days later, the priest had a phone call from the man's daughter to say that her father had died. "

He died in his bedroom," she said, and it's strange, that when we found him, there was a chair drawn up right alongside his bed, and Dad's head was just resting on the seat, as if it was resting in someone's lap."

Celtic Prayer

You Lord, are in this place,
Your presence fills it
Your presence is peace
You Lord are in my life
Your presence fills it,
Your presence is peace
You Lord are in the storm
Your presence fills it
Your presence is peace
