Lenten Distraction: Mea Culpa

I had no intention of going to see the Pope when he visits the UK this year but having seen this photo of
his Papal secretary I am definitely reviewing the situation. In fact I might have to see if I can get any tickets to a private audience.

People Magazine swoons over the "Sunnyboy in the cassock", the Swiss Weltwoche calls him the "most handsome man in a soutane". Donatella Versace dedicated a fashion line to him.

Monsignor Georg Gänswein is known  as “Bel Giorgio” in the Italian press...
in English it translates to " Gorgeous George".

Born in Germany .....that's all you're getting from me for now.

You can "Google" him for yourself for the rest of the evening .................

Woo-hoo...
Poor poor guy. It must not easy to be that handsome. He must attract both women and men...

I knew a monsignore who was good-looking like Giorgio. Michael Courtney was his name. He was Irish. Young women loved to gather around him at embassy events in Delhi.
He was the best preacher I have known. His sermons lasted about seven minutes, had three points. Spiritual food for the whole week.

Monsignore Courtney was killed in an ambush in Burundi while he was on a peace mission.

I expect he's surrounded by a flock of gorgeous angels in heaven.

Hi Claire,
Nice to hear from you.
I thought this one might grab your attention !!
Sad story about Fr. Courtney too.
Hope you have some time to read the posts on Liminal Space. It has grabbed my attention for most of today.(We used the term a lot in Jungian therapy too).
Godbless

I believe in 'liminal space.' Maybe I was Irish in an other life...
