Catch Up

I am catching up on some news so here are a few links to a hot topic that has been developing since I was away.

The theologian Elizabeth Johnson has formally responded to the US Bishops criticism of her published work Quest For A Living God .

I agree with this statement from US Catholic :

"Her letter to the bishops is an example of not only her writing prowess, but her ability to show that loving the church means also challenging it when its leadership is so clearly misguided."

The latest update is that the U.S. bishops' committee for doctrine, is expected to discuss her response to their criticism when the bishops meet June 15-17 near Seattle in Bellevue, Washington.
