Grace

I do not at all
understand the mystery of grace -
only that it meets us
where we are
but does not leave us
where it found us.

~ Anne Lamott

Grace

I have felt low these past couple of days but I am grateful for help from a variety of sources to bounce me back to my old self :
Friends, music, fellow bloggers , inspiration from writers and this beautiful video using images from the David Attenborough Series The Blue Planet
Nature always reconnects me to the awesome wonder of the Holy Spirit and God's presence working in our world, drawing me to new places of humility , intimacy, grace and renewal.

H/T To Mark for the link

From at People For Others, Paul Campbell S.J  found this striking quote from Paul Tillich  in Terry Hershey’s The Power of Pausewhich struck a chord with me...
Grace strikes us when we are in great pain and restlessness. It strikes us when we walk through the dark valley of a meaningless and empty life… It strikes us when, year after year, the longed for perfection of life does not appear, when the old compulsions reign within us as they have for decades, when despair destroys all joy and courage. Sometime at that moment a wave of light breaks into our darkness… If that happens to us we experience grace.
Granted, we might seldom experience grace “directly,” but, every moment of our lives, we stand under a deluge of God’s graces.  Alleluia.
