Silent Surrendered : The Way To Be !!

Silent , surrendered, calm and still,
Open to the word of God.
Heart humbled to his will.
Offered is the servant of God.

When I read these words my conclusion as they apply to my life is " I wish !"

But that is what I desire to be and as they say, the desire to desire is often good enough for God.

So that is what I bring to God today - a faltering and pretty decrepit effort to surrender my will and to open myself to the word of God.

I turn my face to focus on the light, the light from Heaven---and not the cold, the darkness, or the winter the earth is enduring, not the lingering doubts but instead on how everything on earth is straining towards that Light.

I pause for a moment and think of the love and the grace that God showers on us all.
