The Garden of Gethsemane

After the Last Supper Jesus now faces the beginning of his last few hours of life on earth.

He and his disciples go to the Garden of Gethsemane . Jesus begins to pray and the disciples fall asleep.

Jesus agonises over his fate and he sweats blood but angels minister to him.

It was here that he was betrayed by Judas Iscariot with a kiss.

The photo below shows it today.The garden itself is approximately 2000 years old, filled with olive trees and is the largest site that has been identified as Gethsemane.
